Where is Configuration Manager / Admin link to turn on html embedding?
I don't see any 'Config' on lower right hand corner? It's possible that I never ran the install.php script?

I tried to add more details but I guess I'm throttled to 100 characters?  I'm not a twitter user so this is hard to condense information

Oh wait it looks like I can reply with 10,000 characters thank god.

Anyways my problem is that I am not sure if I ran install.php when I got started with docuwiki...I fired it up in a docker container and accessed index.php, fml I guess.  I've already made dozens of docuwiki pages and I am not sure if running install.php will remove all my work?  Is there no other way to access Configuration Manager or just turn on html embedding in the php files?  I'm using version 2018-04-22a "Greebo".

I swear next time I will RTFM.  I've made a backup and am prepared to do whatever it takes to quickly turn on html embedding or to access the Configuration Manager.  I don't want to use MediaWiki as I've grown accustomed to DocuWiki's simplicity.  Thank you.

Do not know whether it works:
Click onto your dokuwiki-icon top left and then append "?do=admin&page=config" to the URL which is indicated in the browser.

Thanks Virk, I tried:

http://127.0.0.1:8080/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=start?do=admin&page=config

which takes me to a "This topic does not exist yet" page, and I tried:

http://127.0.0.1:8080/dokuwiki/doku.php?do=admin&page=config

and this takes me to the start page.

Any other ideas?  Cheers

If you've installed dokuwiki without running install.php, you will be able to create and edit new pages, but you will not be able to access the administration pages, because there is no admin (superuser) and no ACL set for the wiki.  If you haven't run install.php as yet, there is a good chance you can still run it and set up your wiki.  Once you've done that, you will be able to access the admin pages, which includes the config manager, where you can turn on html using the htmlok setting.

When you run install.php, enable ACL.
Enable ACL (recommended)

Thank you turnermm I was afraid of that.  I tried to run install.php but it wouldn't let me because of "security reasons" ie due to my modifications.

I went ahead and started with a fresh docuwiki installation, ran the install.php file, and am able to enable html and php.  And spent 30 minutes copying all my content from my old wiki to the new one.  *sigh* next time I'll make sure I RTFM.  Cheers

Honestly it was worth the work, docuwiki is great and I prefer its syntax over MediaWiki
