I know that from a technical point of view it is regardless if i write links like this:
[[firstns:secondns:pagename]]
or this:
[[:firstns:secondns:pagename]]
(note the colon at the beginning)
When placing images in the editor, Dokuwiki always uses absolute links with colon first: {{:firtns:secondns:imagename.jpg|}}
Linking is the greatest strength of a Wiki, but unfortunately also the greatest weak spot...

I prefer the notation with the leading colon, because it is better indicated that there is an absolute addressing. For me, the leading colon symbolizes the root namespace.
