I don't understand what you mean. Could you please explain your objective more in detail?

I have created a namespace named "general", and put all .txt  files in that namespace. It is displayed in the dokuwiki frontend.

I have some files with extension .ascii , for example file1_software_license.ascii .

I need to show these files as downloadable files in frontend of wiki. Could you please help me.

I need to show these files as downloadable files

1.) Follow this guide: https://www.dokuwiki.org/mime
2.) Upload your files via the media manager.
3.) Add the file manually or via the button "Add Imgaes and other files" to your wiki page.
4.) And you should get this result: http://dw-livedemos.informantum.de/doku.php?id=livedemos:a…

Feedback welcome, especially to support other users - Michael Sy.

I have uploaded the files through media manager, and used "Add images and files " in the editor , to display the file in the page.

{{ :wiki:agb_software_license.ascii |}}

But when i clicked that it is opening in another page. But I want this as downloadable.

Could you please help me.

Click with the right mouse button. In the context menu that appears, a function is included to download the file.

Edit: Maybe the downloadable code blocks are another alternative: https://www.dokuwiki.org/wiki:syntax#downloadable_code_blo…

Hello Myron,
thank you for this tip. I had long wanted this feature for linked PDF media, but overlooked that this is so easy.

A hint for anyone who wants to enable the !-Option with an existing mime type: You may need to clear the browser cache for this, to put into effect for each link (at least in your browser).

Thanks for your feedback, this will support other users.

Please can you insert [Solved] in the title? (This can be done by editing your first post.)

I have one more doubt:-

I have a namespace named "german", which contains .txt ,.pdf files.

And I cam using a plugin catlist for showing all pages in the namespace.

But it is only showing .txt files in the heirrarchichal order. I also need other extension files to show in the listing.

I have written like this in editor:-

<catlist general -maxDepth:10 -noAddPageButton >

is there any other plugin which will show all the files extension in a namespace? How can i do it?
