nassaleh Hi, I just installed and configured my Dokuwiki on an Ubuntu Machine. I can access the Wiki from my office within the same network. My question is what I need to do to be able to access my wiki from outside the office. I am new to this, I appreciate all the help. Thank you
turnermm I assume you mean, how do you access your wiki on the open Internet. You can do this if your office maintains an IP address/or domain name that is accessible from outside the office. Then you can put your wiki in the directory that is accessed when pointing your browser to your office web site. If your office only maintains a LAN, a network that is limited to your office and its computers, then this is not possible.
cziehr If you don't have a static IP for your company, a dynamic dns service would also be possible: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_DNS
michaelsy Sorry, that's not the place for your question. Since it has practically nothing to do with DokuWiki, but much more with network technology in plenty details, a rather extensive topic. You will receive a wealth of information when you ask your preferred search engine: access ubuntu from outside my network and other variations. It is a widespread objective.
