taobyebye Hello, my wiki is getting bigger and bigger and so slowly I have concerns because everything is backed up in files and not in database. Has any of you completely converted your Dokuwiki to a database, e. g. MariaDB ?
martinr Why do you have concerns that your data is held and backed up in files rather than a database? For some (I suspect many here) people that is a definite plus. No DBM to worry about either during backup or recovery.

martinr Interesting link Andi, I hadn't seen that. When I was selecting a wiki for storing system management type information for a cluster, I had a similar thought process. An inexperienced replacement system manager wouldn't need the problems of getting a DBMS running in order to access the information on getting the system going. The physical documentation directed an admin to where the files were, find(1)[/m] and [m]grep(1) would be sufficient to start the recovery procedure.
