Subject: Replacement for gcalendar
Dear community,

we use gcalender in our workgroupe for holidays and vacations. Gcalender fits very well our needs, it provides a table view for a month with one column per colleague.

Unfortunately, our data center has discontinued support for PHP5.6 and PHP7.0. So gcalender plugin is not working anymore. I try to uprgrade gcalender to PHP7.3 but I'm a total PHP beginner. May be it is a good task to learn PHP, but we need a quick solution.

Does anyone know a calender plugin with which I can achieve the same result? Maybe a plugin for working plans?

Best,
AlexK

In case you only need such simple table you could use the well maintained edit table plugin which provides a quite comfortable way to edit tables.: https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:edittable

Note: the edittable plugin doesn't respect styles. I have a dark style with white text on my wiki and couldn't read the contents of the table. I ended up uninstalling it because of that. YMMV.

The actual problem is, the styles that are not suitable for you are set for the plugin. You can format the editor window of the plugin via CSS as well as all other contents of DokuWiki. Presumably it is enough if you switch the editor background from transparent to white.

@keale
In addition, I recommend this plugin: https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:tablewidth

Thanks to all!

Table Plugin is a possibility. The strength of gcalender was a comfortable way to make entries by just editing a wikidoku page for a collegue:
e.g.

*22.12.2018-5.1.2018 Urlaub
*1.3.2019 - 2.3.2019 Workshop

gcalender read the pages and showed absence times in a nice way.

I see, i will not get the same funktionality out of a box, some finger work is in every case to do.

Subject: It works!
I spent some time playing with PHP and gcalender.

This version works for me with PHP7.1.33 and DokuWiki version 2018-04-22b "Greebo".
