Subject: Create directory listing of top-level namespaces file only?
Is there a way to get a nicely formatted list of the files in the current namespace that lists files only?

It looks like the DIR plugin always lists namespaces and files. I want generate a list of the files at the top level of my wiki (the root namespace) but don't want files from sibling or child namespaces?

Is there a way to do this with DIR or some other plugin? This is for creating a dynamic table of contents for a namespace.

Maybe these plugins are interesting for you:
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:filelist
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:filelisting

By Patreon.com a few eurons can be fed into the code phasers of
the DokuWiki engine. Besides, Andi's posts are worth reading.

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I can't get either of these to create a listing of the wiki's text files. Both seem aimed at listing files in the media directory. filelist seems to have flags that seem like they should work for this, but I could only ever get it to list media files.

Have you used filelist to create a table of contents/listing?

Thanks,
Edward

It seems you are looking for plugins that list pages.

You can try https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:pagequery or https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:indexmenu.
Also the Index wiki page has some suggestions.

There's also the include plugin which can list the pages within a namespace.

Many of the plugins tagged with "index" and/or "navigation" are intended for the purpose basically. (And usually offer very different options.)

Doesn't pagelist need you to provide the names of the pages that you want to list?

Ooops, yes. Forgot that it's "just" the helper plugin for all others like dir, tag etc...

Try the catlist plugin, see https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:catlist.
Here is an example:

<catlist my_namespace -maxDepth:1 -noAddPageButton>
