Subject: How to "completely" remove external link icons?
I managed to disable the external link icons (in front of outbound links) by editing the CSS file, but the minor issue is that this practice leaves a black space in front of those links.

It does not look neat and normal.

So, how can I remove that blank space?

I use this in /conf/userstyle.css:

.dokuwiki a.urlextern,
.dokuwiki a.interwiki,
.dokuwiki a.windows,
.dokuwiki a.mail {
    text-decoration: none;
    background-image: none !important;
    padding-left: 0 !important;
}
