Subject: Accidentally messed up DokuWiki
Hi guys,

I have made a DokuWiki and changed the template and config settings to make it more personal.
Now, I saw these two options called something with "baseurl" or something like that. They ended on "blank for autodetect".
In these 2, you could enter urls.

I was curious and as stupid as I am I just typed in a random url instead of searching for it to see what it does.
So now I found out that it messes up the DokuWiki completely - obviously because it's trying to get information from something that isn't relevant to it.

Is there a way to revert settings like this?
The site has no CSS when I go to it, it's just all the things from the normal DokuWiki in one big list on the left site of the page.
It went from the iconic DokuWiki thing to just text and links.

I can't seem to find the "Admin" link to where you can change these settings again, so what do I do?

I found this, and if you red the "DANGER" line, that is exactly what happened:

Thank you,
p00ties

If you can access the directory where dokuwiki lives:

open the file dokuwiki/conf/dokuwiki.php with a text editor

and restore the line to:

$conf['baseurl']     = '';                //URL to server including protocol - blank for autodetect

Make a copy of the file first.

open the file dokuwiki/conf/dokuwiki.php with a text editor
No ! You should never change this file.

open dokuwiki/conf/local.php and remove the line that reads
$conf['baseurl']=....
As pop suggested, make a backup first.

Thanks for the correction. I didn't realize that.

Thank you guys, this worked.
I appreciate the fact that some kind people are able to help me when I "forget" to think and just do exactly what I'm not supposed to do :D
