Hi,

Maybe you can find someone near you who is familiar with servers. I mean someone who could help you restore a recent backup of your server, if there is one.
If not, then :
  • First of all, locate your dokuwiki folder on the server and make a backup. double check to make sure you actually back up the correct folders. You should find .php files but also .txt files that are named after your page names. Put that backup on some external drive and check again the content.
  • Then try to reinstall apache. How you do this depends on the OS runnIng on the server. Please refer to your OS documentation, or maybe apache documentation.
  • When you're done, come back here. There will probably be someone to help you.

Try installing the xampp package for your operating system.  It installs several things, at the minimum you want php and apache.

It would also help to know the operating system.  xampp doesn't exist in CentOS7 (so presumably also RHEL and SL).  Is the OP using a form of Windows - answers might be very different!

Is this conclusion from your own experience?  Because I've seen listings for xampp for centos 6.5 through 7. For instance:
https://phoenixnap.com/kb/how-to-install-xampp-centos

On the other hand, for Centos, you can simply use the package manager.

There's not an xampp package in yum.  But you can install apache and php using yum and following the instructions in the second link above. This will create a working server that can be used with Dokuwiki. Or, a bit more complicated, you can, apparently, download an xamp tarball and install it by following the instructions in the other link.  I've done the yum install on several servers when needing to update.
