Subject: installing from github - composer
If I'm running on the stable branch of the code from splitbrain/dokuwiki, should I be running composer update to update the vendor code? I see it do several updates, but it's not clear if what's in the repository is at the version it is for a reason.

  - Updating splitbrain/php-archive (1.0.10 => 1.1.1): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating phpseclib/phpseclib (2.0.11 => 2.0.25): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating paragonie/random_compat (v2.0.12 => v2.0.18): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating simplepie/simplepie (1.5.1 => 1.5.4): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating geshi/geshi (v1.0.9.0 => v1.0.9.1): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating openpsa/universalfeedcreator (v1.8.3 => v1.8.3.2): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating marcusschwarz/lesserphp (v0.5.1 => v0.5.4): Downloading (100%)
  - Updating splitbrain/php-cli (1.1.2 => 1.1.6): Downloading (100%)

No. A checkout of the stable branch is meant to be used as is. Updating the dependencies will probably not break anything, but there's no guarantee.
