ryan-chappelle The plugins cloud shows there are social plugins for the "Big Data Vampires" like Facebook, Twitter and Google; however there are no social plugins for other platforms like Mastodon or Pleroma. For example for generating links / buttons, for showing toots or for verification of link owners, a cross-feature that Mastodon offers. What is the probability of getting any of those to work by forking or enhancing one of the currently available social plugins? I take it the APIs are largely different, but the tasks at the DokuWiki end (generating links, or embedding content) should be the same.
TePeWu_PL I second the wish/question. We are working on a dokuwiki-based platform, which needs to be able both receive and broadcast information via activity pub (among other channels). For now, the closest approximation we have is RSS, but it is too little.
andi TePeWu_PL eeds to be able both receive and broadcast information via activity pub You would need to define what that actually means. What happens when "follow"? Would I follow the wiki? A namespace? A page? What happens when I "reply" or "mention"? Does it create new pages? Does it add to existing pages? @TePeWu_PL TBH. I doubt you have any clear concept of what you expect. If so, open a new thread in the plugin wishlist forum and write down exactly how you imagine it to work.
