fabi i am dokuwiki novice, but have some patches to improve functionalitys. what is the best way to publish them so that developers can proof and maybe integrate them?
chi First you should read http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:development, it holds some information about how the development of DokuWiki is coordinated. Darcs patches are preferred, but unified diffs will do as well. Patches should always be against the latest development version of DokuWiki. The best way is to send them to the mailing list, along with an explanation of what the patch does. HTH
fabi Sorry, but me time is limited, and investigate more time later in to darcs et. It taken some time to generate the patches for a new dokuwiki diverse from this one i use now. The Paches are generated with unified diff -u like chi wrote it. I think the titles of the files are selfexplaining, if not, i write you here a short explanation. Maybe later if i see how dokuwiki environment treats people and patches, i investigate more time to read me deeper in texts and structure. If you maybe reject anyway all me patches, or discussions are a mess like in Wikipedia, i down't waste me time ;-) For now i can not be a full developer, even if i would like to be, no time. If it is necessary to put me address in to a mailinglist, i will do this. Normally i down't like this, i get enough spam for now. Or give me a hint how i can serve your interests with minimum time on me site. So i beg for understanding.
chi fabi wrote I think the titles of the files are selfexplaining, if not, i write you here a short explanation. Please do so, and please don't only describe what the patches do, more important, add some information about the motivation behind them.

fabi OK, i will do this, if i can optimize the diff patches in some way, i do this too. Tanks for the advice. I come back soon for the update.
