jroeterd Hello, I am using DW as a personal knowledge gathering system on my desktop. I find the live dokuwiki site very informative but I am not always able to make a connection to the internet and would like to have it offline. Is it possible that a ZIP is made available (once a week for instance or daily if it can be automated) with the contents of the ..\data\pages\wiki directory? In fact the wiki namespace. I know that attached files will not be included but that is not so much a problem (for me al least). Thanks in advance. Greetings, Jroeterd
blackfog Probably theres not so big interests in this, but meanwhile try HTTrack mentioned here or similar tools. BlackFog
andi I attached a tgz of the wiki namespace (my local copy - not 100% up to date). I'll see if I can provide an automatically generated tarball somewhen later.
jroeterd Thanks Andi. Once a week or even once a month should be enough. It is just for reference. When I know DW better and have it configured with plugins as I want to I will problably not use it that much anymore. But I think it is nice to new users to have the wiki available as a download. Greetings, Jroeterd
pchan Andi, Very thoughtful to have a daily tarball, allowing people to browse things while unconnected to the web. (I travel a lot). Noticed that the directory "plugin" is not enclosed, it is on a parallel branch to "wiki". There's a lot of very useful things too! Cheers.
