Just a side "angle"on this old post. I'm planning to migrate from PMWiki to Dokuwiki. I think what is missing in the online wiki comparisons is any awareness of the level of over head needed to accomplish certain things. I really don't need all the customizations options that are available on PMwiki. Implementing any of it comes with an enormous price tag interms of time and investment in plug-i and configuration management. Meanwhile PM wiki lacks key things that I need that Dokuwiki offers. Most importantly
a) true hierarchical structure (namespaces)
b) Robust ACL and user management already build in the GUI
And a lot of other things that just work more easily "out of the box" so I can spend my time using the wiki instead of constantly tinkering with it... I wish I had tried Dokuwiki first.
At any rate, the current online comparisons do not expose these "pluses" that Dokuwiki offers.
