Subject: Can I create multiple wikis with one dokuwik installation on IIS?
I'm running a wiki already.  Is it possible to run multiple wkiks with just one installation or do I need to install dokuwiki for every wiki I want to have on the server?

Afaik you could only define one data path, so I dont see a possibility to do this.

I suspect you can do this with IIS but it would be messy ...

/edit

most of original post removed.  The more I think about this the messier it becomes. Without a comprehensive set of symlinks or similar too many parts of DokuWiki would need to be amended to ensure their defines point at the correct files/directories.  So although its likely to be technically feasible, once achieved updating could be an even worse nightmare.

Subject: here is what I want to do
I have a wiki already setup for one department and I'd like to setup more wikis for other departments.  What will be the best way to do this?  The template and the structure of the ohter wikis will be different.

I think the best you can do is setup totally new wikis

You mean copy and paste the folder and give it a different name?

currently I am working on a plugin to solve this comfortably via configuration. It will be possible to define several data directorys and trigger them ie. via the www address.

Does anyone know if such a plugin already exists? I don't seem to find it in the plugin section  and I would really like to have this possibility !
