I'm probably missing something simple here, but I cant figure out how to give a title to each namespace in the index (in sidebar).
OK, I have useheadings = true in config, and that uses the first heading in each page as that page's title in the index. Works fine.
I want to do the same for namespaces. This is what I have done so far:
-I set Config>Start page name = startpage
-I create a page called startpage.txt and put a H1 of ====== This is where to start ======
-I upload this file to "getting_started:" namespace (this namespace has other pages as well)
-the index in the sidebar is still shown as "getting_started" and not as "This is where to start" Also, there is now a new page in getting_started namespace called "This is where to start"
So, the start page name is not being recognised.
----------------------------------------------------
OK, so I tries fullindex plugin (
http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:fullindex) and meta plugin (
http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:meta).
-In config>Full Index I make sure to set the value to Titles
-I then write the following in startpage.txt :
~~META:
alternative = This is where to start
~~
-I also try:
~~META:
alternative = This is where to start
~~
====== This is where to start ======
Same result as above, namespace is not renamed and the page "This is where to start" is actually shown under the namespace.
------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas on how to get around this?
What am I missing out on?
Thanks for any help that you can provide.
(PS - I also wanted to use fullindex plugin to re-order my pages and namespaces....this seems to work fine with the meta data).
