I have version 2006-11-06 and searching is cumbersome, especially for a development team which needs to often search for code snippets.
When you search for a string with underscores, every search functionality I've ever used pays attention to the underscores and periods. For example, searching for setup_tools.msi will only find pages with this string. Dokuwiki apparently finds all pages which contain setup, tools and msi which finds what you're looking for plus lots of junk!
I know that quotes seem to work but should they really be necessary here?
I'm pretty good with code but could not make headway in the module which parses the search string.
Any suggestions? Does a new version do this properly?
Much thanks.

use quotes when searching for phrases. "setup_tools.msi"

Finally upgraded to the latest version and searching now works.
It was locking up even when using quotes, usually looking for quoted strings which contained underscores.
The newer version searches fine.
Would still be nice to actually treat and underscore as a character like every other search engine, but I'm good for now.
Thanks!
