Introduction
I just installed a DokuWiki and I need it for a project starting tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm not able to get an overview about DokuWikis functions, features and in particular plugins.
I'll use many lists. Lists will be the main content of my pages. I'm afraid to say, but the standard support of creating bulleted lists is ... poor.
Issue 1
If I type this
foobar
john doe
alice
and mark all the 3 lines and press the "list button" in the editor, I get the following ouput:
* foobar
john doe
alice
Instead it
should be
* foobar
* john doe
* alice
Issue 2
I want to create a list from scratch. I press the "list button" and begin typing the first list entry "foobar". After that, I press
Enter.
Unfortunately I get this ouput:
* foobar
_ (Cursor)
and not this ouput:
* foobar
*
DokuWiki should automatically create new list points after pressing Enter. If you press Enter two times, it deletes the last (empty) list entry and starts with a new line. This is the way I'm used to from other wikis. And I think it's very useful, obvious and I can't imagine any contra.
My question
How to get this (or similar) support for creating bulleted lists until tomorrow?
Is there a plugin? Or any other syntax / markup language, which offers this functionality, maybe?
"Refinement"
If it's posssible, I don't want to install rarely used/tested plugins from possibly untrusted sources, because this installation hosts very private data.
Thanks in advance,
besides that (and some very ugly usability "offences" of the standard interface/theme) DokuWiki seems to be really nice.
It becalms me to know, that all my content is stored in plain text fields, accessible at any time, not "databased" - great.
