Out of interest, what do you guys think is the best way to install Apache/PHP on a Windows Server?  I'd like it to nice and lightweight.

Is installing Apache and PHP separately a good idea, or should I just use XAMPP or WAMP?  If the latter then should I use XAMPP or WAMP?  I've used both before on my home Windows installation and they were pretty easy to set up, especially XAMPP.

I'm really happy with xampp. It save much time and work.

Using a 'combined' package is usually less work to set up.

At the end of the day, installing both together, or separately, will make little difference in how it works.

I use xampp, and it works very well. I would recommend it.

If you want something just for yourself you might checkout Docuwiki on a USB stick ...

Of course you don't have to run it on a USB stick.  You can just download this and zip to a folder and and then start up Apache/PHP with docuwiki all setup to go with the lightest possible config!

Don't miss the latest release (not obvious if you speed read the front page too fast):

Otherwise XAMPP is great!
