In order to allow users to upload the new MS Office 2007 files with the new endings xlsx, docx, pptx I enhanced the file conf/mime.conf as written in the documentation.
doc application/msword
docx application/msword
xls application/msexcel
xlsx application/msexcel
csv application/msexcel
ppt application/mspowerpoint
pptx application/mspowerpoint
Uploading the files with mediamanager works fine now.
When I try to download the files (in Firefox 3.0.5) they are downloaded but (for example) Excel complains about the file not matching its file ending.
The problem is, that somewhere on the way the file extension .XLS is added to the end of the file name (after the original .xslx ending).
I modified the mime.conf file to use the 'official' mime types (see below) but this still did not help. (I did not re-upload the files, but I hope this does not matter here.)
doc application/msword
docx application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document
xls application/msexcel
xlsx application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet
csv application/msexcel
ppt application/mspowerpoint
pptx application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.presentation
Do you have any idea what could cause this problem?
Thanks for any help in this.
Mark
