The problem with this is: How should that "function" know that you want to have a new line instead of a second list item? If it should work like you want it will only create one liste item, regardless of how many lines you've select, it will convert them to \\.
That is exactly what I want, one list item having the same line breaks *within* the list item as the selected raw data. This is usefull for restructuring text pasted from other applications.
