The translation interface isn't very flexible or even good code. Most of your suggestions can not easily be added, sorry.

Ack. I just noticed that for Greek (86.70-->99.82), Slovak (98.54-->99.64), Serbian (94.35-->99.82), there's just one or two strings missing still. I'll get on the case again.

Slovak and Serbian have been properly completed and sent, as has Greek.

Polish is sent again as the update doesn't seem to have gone through.

That makes 25 languages complete, and more than a dozen others being worked on.

Not sure where the Swedish updates have gone. Nothing appeared on Darcs or on http://translate.dokuwiki.org/ for those.

You should shortly receive an incomplete update for Welsh (6.38-->20+/-) too.

The Marathi (partial update) file should have arrived already.

Some Croatian (partial update) should also follow shortly.

The Greek, Slovak, and Serbian, and the Polish and Swedish updates have now all showed up.

So, Chinese Traditional is now also complete.

There is also progress with Marathi (93.26-->93.62), Slovenian (39.89-->43.53) and Turkish (78.51-->82.51) too.

http://www.wikimatrix.org/show/DokuWiki says that 46 languages can be installed.

DokuWiki actually now supports 52 languages, of which 26 are 100% complete.

Language code list: http://www.ethnologue.com/14/iso639/codes.asp

For a moment 27 languages were complete, and then new message strings were added: what had been 100% was now reduced to 99.10% (and later to 98.92%) again.

That's the nature of it and is bound to happen again. I suggest providing new language updates for nearly completed languages only after a feature freeze, i.e. shortly before a new release. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense ...

Yes. For languages over 98% or so, it would make sense to directly notify those people at that time, and allow a few days for as many as possible to be returned. Maybe you already do this? I'm new round here so don't know all the history. :)

French and Brazilian Portuguese were updated to 100% again. Soon after that, some new strings were added, which reduced them both to 99.82% again.

Previously completed languages sat at 99.10% complete as of last week are also therefore down to 98.92% now.

What about one good old
tr:hover {backround-color: #ddd;}
or similar?
Doesn't work in IE6, but increases the readability on most other browsers.
