incirus I have 2 questions 1- How can I create some links only for logged in users. 2- How to change edit button for a section to link. "tpl_actionlink" only changes the general buttons to links but I couldnt find the way of changing the "edit" button of a section to a link. Thanks for any help
incirus #1 is solved solution; <?php if(isset($_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'])) { echo 'hello user'; }else{ echo 'hello visitor'; } ?> this creates "hello user" for logged ins and "hello visitor" for public visitors.
g1smd Where does this code go? I have a use for this to set up different Google Analytics tracking for Logged-in Users and for Guests for example - and I expect other people to find many other uses for this.
incirus you can put the code in your template wherever you want to show something. in my case, i was trying to create different menu items for users and guests. So I placed the code in my menu area. I guess in your case you have to place the code at the end of the page before the "</body>" tag.
cdelves Is there a way of doing this within the individual pages? As opposed to the main.php...? Or can you get php working alongside the syntax usages?
