After installing DokuWiki, what was my surprise as I see the following message right after logging into the admin page.
PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare php_strip_whitespace() in [...]\lib\plugins\config\settings\config.class.php on line 914
Puzzled, since the if-block at line 900 should avoid redefinition, I've done some research on function_exists. It seems that, when a function is disabled, function_exists returns false, but trying to define it triggers a redefinition error, as pointed out by
this comment in the PHP online docs. I checked with phpinfo(), and it confirmed that php_strip_whitespace is disabled in the server i'm using.
So, is there a workaround for installing DokuWiki in a server with php_strip_whitespace in disable_functions?
