Subject: Outputting the php code?
Hello:

I installed the current version of DokuWiki on a slackware 10.2 server with Apache/1.3.33 and php 4.4.0 installed.
When I bring up either www.myhost.com/dokuwiki.php?do=check or www.myhost.com/dokuwiki.php?id=start

What I get is the php code and not the output from the php code. It seems to me that apache is not working properly. Any guidance would be appreciated.

P.S. If I run php dokuwiki.php I get the html as expected.

Thanks,
Chris Oliver

Well this means your apache is not configured to treat .php files as PHP code and execute them instead of delivering them. There are basicly two steps involved to make this work, if your distribution doesn't do it for you:

1st make sure the PHP module gets loaded:

LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so

2nd tell the Apache about .php files and their mime type:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml .php3
Read this if you don't get any useful answers.

Thanks,

I should have checked out the httpd.conf file before I posted. It's obvious when I read through the config
that the php module is not being used and the mime type is not setup.

Cheers,
Chris O.
