alelima Hi People, I'm trying to costumize the arctic template, but i'm having some problems. 1. I can't put an image header background. It's not working! I created the userstyle.css file in <dokuwiki>/conf/userstyle.css And added the lines below: div.dokuwiki .header { background: url(lib/tpl/arctic/images/top_image.gif) no-repeat; } But the background becomes white with no image!!! 2. The second thing is how can i edit the main sidebar that becomes with playground and wiki links, after installation? Thanks so much!
alelima Hi Martin, It's not browser cache. I reloaded it n times and nothing. About Main sidebar, This link you posted shows how can i add a new side bar. I want to know about the side bar that already exits when you install for the first time the dokuwiki! The one that has links like a tree. How can i edit it? (If it's possible). Thanks
chi -Martin- wrote Have you cleared it? The index shows up all wiki pages automatically ;-) @-Martin-: Alelima wants to know how to _edit_ the index, _not_ what it does ;-). @Alelima, you can't edit the default index. Do as @-Martin- said and create the main sidebar. In this sidebar you can use any of the existing indexmenu plugins. Most of those plugins are really flexible (I'd recommend the navi plugin in your case). For the header image, have you tried to access the image directly via URL in the browser i.e. http://yoursite.com/lib/tpl/arctic/images/top_image.gif ? Does that work? HTH
alelima I'll try the navi plugin you said. Thanks!!! The image works if i try to access directly via URL: http://localhost/dokuwiki/lib/tpl/arctic/images/top_image.gif My userstyler.css is like this: Instalation path: <dokuwiki>/conf/userstyler.css div.dokuwiki .header { background: url(lib/tpl/arctic/images/toplogo.gif) no-repeat; } I have no more ideas. Thanks again!
chi alelima wrote The image works if i try to access directly via URL: http://localhost/dokuwiki/lib/tpl/arctic/images/top_image.gif I have no more ideas. Hmmm, try using the full path http://localhost/dokuwiki/lib/tpl/arctic/images/top_image.gif as the image path in the CSS. Does that work? If it works this way, you could check how the path of the generated CSS looks like if you use the old path, DokuWiki internally rewrites relative image paths in the CSS, maybe there's something going wrong there. You can check the CSS by navigating to http://localhost/dokuwiki/lib/exe/css.php and check it's output (just search for "top_image.gif").
alelima It works now \o/ \o/ \o/ !!!! I put the complete path: http://localhost/dokuwiki/lib/tpl/arctic/images/top_image.gif in the userstyler.css Now, how i can take out the page_name and the logo? It's showing [[start]] (left side) and CHIMERIC.DE (right side) Thanks!!!
martin1 Open "/lib/tpl/arctic/main.php" and comment out the following lines: [[<?php tpl_link(wl($ID,'do=backlink'),tpl_pagetitle($ID,true))?>]] and <?php tpl_link(wl(),$conf['title'],'name="dokuwiki__top" accesskey="h" title="[ALT+H]"')?>
