Hello,
is there any way to install dokuwiki in one directory (say, "dokuwiki") but at the same time have different name in URLs (say, mydomain.com/mydir/index.php, note that "mydir" is used instead of "dokuwiki" which is the installation dir)?
What I would like to do is to have dokuwiki installed in a separate directory like "dokuwiki" in order to distinguish it from other installations like phpbb in "forums". However, dokuwiki is intended to be used as CMS rather than wiki and therefore I would like to remove "dokuwiki" from URLs (url rewriting is used). For example, a typical URL should look like "mydomain.com/mypage" or "mydomain.com/mycategory/mypage" (so "dokuwiki" is not visible in URLs but it exists in file system).
I can use url rewrite to map these logical URLs (without "dokuwiki") to real URLs which include "dokuwiki" in the path. But the problem is that dokuwiki will still generates URLs on its pages which include "dokuwiki". The cause of the problem is that config variable basedir is used for two different purpose:
1. for physical access to the installation resources (files, images etc.), and
2. for generating URLs on the pages.
Hence the principled solution would be to have two different variables for these two purposes.
However, probably there is some workaround and it is possible to set a custom value for basedir only for URLs. Maybe I can simply change some variable in some php-file? Where in installation there is the procedure responsible for URL generation?
I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
