Hello, I installed dokuwiki, I dont get any error messages in my logs, so everything seems perfect. However, I don't see any "create page" button, so I can't create pages. Where have I gone wrong? Is there any config option disabling the "create page" button that could be used to re-enable it? I browsed through the docs, but I didn't find anything. Any help appreciated.

Well do you see an "Edit this page" button? Maybe you want to read
http://www.dokuwiki.org/page#create_a_page ?

Hi Andi, no there is no edit this page button. I can only edit the first page. I created a link to a new site. Theoretically, I should have an "create this page" button. However, there is none. Do you know why?

so what's there instead? what template? what OS?

Hi Andi, there is nothing else there. It's Debian Linux, and Doku Wiki default. I only uploaded the files, configured config/* as described in INSTALL, and since then, I am looking for the "create this page" button. I already worked with DokuWiki installs, so I know where to look for it, unfortunately, I seem to have misconfigured something and thus, there is no "create this page" button. I am logged in as admin, so I should have the right to create pages, I guess.

With a vanilla install of DokuWiki and a default template there shouldn't be any way to not have a button where the create page button is unless the data/pages directory isn't writable. But that should be checked... can you append ?do=check to the URL to see if there's something obvious wrong?
