Problem:
login as admin, (gives "This topic does not exist yet" - normal?)
displays ADMIN button,
push button gives "Permission denied - Sorry you don't have enough rights . . ."
Win 2000 Pro; Everyone has Full Control
Dokuwiki-2006-11-06
Used install.php
Searched everywhere for Help !
Checked all conf files, look OK
Cookies allowed
ZoneAlarm; McAfee ??
What should I do? What have I done wrong?
Thanks

Got it !
Turned off ZoneAlarm Pro and it started to work.
No Alert or log entry in ZA so I don't know what ZA is objecting to.
Apache is set as a trusted server.
Using port 8080 (don't ask why !), perhaps this must be "permitted"?
Cannot work without ZA so anyone any ideas?
TIA

I have almost the same problem: does not matter how do I log in (as an admin or user), when I try to go to some link, I get the message:
Permission Denied
Sorry, you don’t have enough rights to continue. Perhaps you forgot to login?
and I am kicked out (I get the empty window with the said phrase and the link "login")
I switched all security settings off in ZoneAlarm (Firewall, Trusted zone security, Program control, SmartDefense) - NO WAY!
ONLY if I switch the Zone Alarm PRO completely off (shut it down) then everything works and I get access to dokuwiki pages.
More strange thing is that I can access everything in dokuwiki from other PC but nothing from the localhost.
Conditions: Win XP Pro, Apache 2.2.4, PHP5, dokuwiki-2006-11-06, ACL enabled.
What's wrong and what can we fix there?

Just now I have found out one solution: instead of using "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" in the address to dokuwiki I used my real IP and it worked ...
The problem is that ZoneAlarm's Privacy Advisor somehow does not allow the cookies from the localhost. I tried many things in ZA but there are only two solutions:
1. use real IP instead of localhost and 127.0.0.1
2. turn off ZA->Privacy->Cookie Control
