ach's solution won't let you use CSS that is already included or that you have picked from elsewhere and stored in
conf/userstyle.css[/m] since the Wrap plugin only wraps things in [m]<div>s and apply the classes to
them, ie.: a CSS that reads like:
table.myclass {
...
}
won't work.
If stylizing tables is much of an issue and given that you are comparing the feature with MediaWiki's syntax, the
exttab2 plugin, albeit old, will allow you to style tables and their components as you see fit.
