hansel Hi, I'm using php code in some of my wiki pages (read-only except for me). Like <php>phpinfo();</php> When I do a search with the built-in search facility, the search summary shows my php source. Is this a bug or is there a way to avoid this? regards, Hans.

hansel chi wrote Don't use inline PHP and write a plugin to implement what you're using it for. Really? Does that mean that the <php>...</php> syntax is meant for debug stuff only?

No it means since the <php></php> and everything in between is part of the page (the .txt file) it will geht indexed by the indexer. The indexer doesn't care about php tags (or html tags for that matter).
ryan-chappelle If parsing only rendered text for search results is important, the SearchText plugin [1] may be of help. [1]www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:searchtext

That solves my problem in a clean way. The latest DokuWiki (dokuwiki-2009-12-25c) can be used out of the box with a minor modification to searchtext. http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:searchtext#discussion @Chi: thanks! You motivated me to dive into the plugin code
