Need help with kind of trivial problem. I moved several pages from one Dokuwiki A to another B. Only the .txt-File from /data to /data-directory. But I cant’t edit those pages in wiki B although I have admin-access. Creating new pages the 'traditional' way works fine.
I did the same thing with a new .txt-file and copied it via FTP in wiki A and B an in both it has the same effect, i can't edit these pages. The only button wich appears is “Show pagesource”. What is the reason for this? According to the FAQ, you can create new files this way ('You can copy a .txt file to the directory (namespace) wherein you want it to reside').
But what I am doing wrong. Is this an ACL or chmod-thing? Who can help?

hi,
did you check the file permissions? i mean those via FTP not inside Dokuwiki. If you don't have the right permissions set, you will just see 'show pagesource' (as you have). Try to change the permissions to 755 and you should be able to edit the pages (you can also try 777, but this isn't a very safe way :-S )

Hi koko,
oops yes indeed. File had the permission 644. Changing permission to 777 permits me to edit those pages. 755 isn't enough.
What seems strange to me, is that all other files created by "Create this page" have the permission 644, too.
My second thougt was:
Alter those files by Dokuwik and save those files again. Afterwards change permission back to 644 and everything is fine.
But this doesn't work, either. So what exactly is the security issue, keeping permission to 777?

Nobody else facing this problem. I can't believe.
