Hello,
I just installed Dokuwiki yesterday and have not yet been able to get it to work. After the install, I click on the link to go to my new wiki and I just get a blank page. After 2 full days I have given up and hope someone here can help.
I know the blank page is an issue that many have encountered, but none of the solutions work for me. I am also not sure this is a Dokuwiki problem, but something in Dokuwiki is causing Apache to restart.
Here is some background info:
XP / PHP 5.2.6 / Apache 2.2.9 / NuSphere PhpED Pro 5.5 (build 5519)
I checked my Apache error log and whenever I access the page I get the following error:
[notice] Parent: child process exited with status 3221225622 – Restarting
.
I also get many other notices such as "Generating secret for digest authentication". Apache restarts twice. Very little was found on Google except one issue w/ Java. My PHP error log is empty and my php.ini is set to log all errors.
I then ran the PhpED debugger and found the debugger was crashing on lang.php on line 13:
$lang[‘doublequoteclosing’] = ‘ậ€□’; //&rdquo

PhpED spit out a transliteration error on what appears to be a carriage return (square), so I replaced the square w/ a “?”, which is what was recommended by the transliteration tool. Additionally, the transliteration tool thought the encoding was WINDOWS-1252, but I’m not sure why.
After fixing this, it no longer crashed on lang.php. It now crashed on line 34 of main.php:
<?php /*old includehook*/ @include(dirname(_FILE_).’/meta.html’) ?>

When debugging, it actually goes through this line twice and crashes on the 2nd time through. I cannot find the file meta.html on my web server.
I also ran the “findbad.php” script, which didn’t find anything except a few files that did not beging w/ “<?php”.
So here’s my question (finally). Is there anything about this command in main.php (or maybe a required Dokuwiki functionality) that requires PHP to have some functionality I have not turned on? Or could there be a conflict somewhere in my httpd.conf file? Are my versions of PHP and Apache not compatible together for Dokuwiki? Is there any Java functionality that Dokuwiki uses? Maybe I need to roll back my last Java update.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
