Hello,
Love dokuwiki by the way! I am moving a lot of our internal documents from Evernote to Dokuwiki at our company. I wanted to see if there is any way to integrate the dokuwiki search with google search.
Basically, if a user searches for "widget", then "widget" results in the local dokuwiki come up first, and then google results. Sometimes I search for stuff in google, not realizing until later that it is available in the wiki.
My site is a private, local site, and is not public, so would not show up under general Google search.
Thanks!

I'm not sure about this, but if the site is local, how do you want to integrate with the google search? how should google know about your sites content? Or are you talking about the desktop google search engine?

Thanks. Maybe I can modify the dokuwiki search page to list google results as well underneath the dokuwiki results. this would probably have to be done through an iframe. any other ideas would be great as well.

I made a plugin that uses ur wiki search altogether with google. the plugin does a google query and then orders all search results based on the google search - combined with the internal one. The only thing is: google only returns some 20 results - so there are only the top search hits for the query.
the plugin is not yet public, but I will publish it right after my vacation :)

that would work great, looking forward to it. I hardly have to go past the first page on google results anyway.
the main thing is to have the internal wiki available without having to do 2 separate searches.
have a great vacation!
