I have the same problem.
Did you found how to solve it ?
I can't upgrade my dokuwiki until this bug is not solved.

Just to add, I have the same problem.
Using both the arctic template and the default template.
As a note, I notice that if I'm only one level down in a name space, I don't get this error (but I also don't have a logout button). However, if I go two or more levels down in name spaces, I get this error and still have no logout button.
After disabling all plugins (except the stock ones) I noticed that the error doesn't appear on a page unless I go three or four levels down, and then it doesn't seem to be consistent when the error appears. I thought it may be related to plugin syntax, but that does not seem to be the case as pages with just a little text, and no custom syntax still throw the error.
So although I don't have a solution, there is at least a little more information from that side of things.

Ok, I think I found the problem.
I'm using ggauth to do an LDAP/AD login along with groups managed by the text file. When I changed the auth to use the default, I was able to login, and saw the logout button. I'll investigate this further and report back.
Maybe other users can confirm if they are using ggauth?

Hey...solution!
I went to DOKUWIKI/inc/auth and edited split.class.php (since I'm using split authentication. If you are using ggauth, and using another type, you may need to edit that file instead). On line 406 I commented out "case 'logoff':" and instead added "case 'logout':". Saved the file and reloaded my wiki. Now I can log in and out fine.
Not knowing the guts of the whole thing, not sure if that will have any other side effects, but seems to work fine.
I'll post a note on the plugin page too.

I'm using ggauth too.
You solution worked, thank you :)
