Hi there,
first post here and directly an inquiry for help :(
I've been using dokuwiki with the default template as a standard wiki application for a while now and have been very satisfied with it. Now after destroying my current blog software with an update I thought I might just put up a completely new homepage and went for a new dokuwiki installation of "Lemming" release . The default theme is sufficient for a wiki use, but a bit boring for a homepage, so I browsed around the different templates and found a lot ones which totally break dokuwiki.
To get to the point: I like the look of the a_dark_divide template and have set it up and it looks and works good.
I also setup a menu page as described on the
template page. But that doesn't work so well, the subitems show up on every page - what they shouldn't according to the description and they are overlapped by the "content" div and just barely visible and clickable. Also as you can see in the update news some of the colors are hard to read, the same is in the login box, white text on white background makes it a bit difficult.
I've tried with IE8 and FireFox 3.6.x, no difference. Could it be related to the outdated dokuwiki version? I had the installer available directly from my hoster, seems it's not yet updated there.
And I had a look into the developer documents for templates and afterwards into the files of the template, but it seems my basic html/php/css knowledge is just too basic to really understand which file has which entry and how they are linked together.
Also I wondered how it would be possible to include an image into the large black header area. Ok an image background setup in one of the css files, but in which one of the thousand divs? ;)
Any help appreciated and keep up the good work with the wiki! :)
Regards

Edit: after a short while in your chat I've been asked for the content of: ./dokuwiki/doku.php?id=:menu
* Start
* Blog
* Zeugs
* Railworks
* Szenarien
* scenarios
if changed to only one layer it shows all the menu items correctly, but as far as I understood the description of the template the menu should change depending on which namespace you're currently in. That's what I want to achieve with it, if it's possible. Hopefully someone has an idea for it :)
