Hallo,
I am from
http://wiki.openwrt.org/ As you see, we make good use of DokuWiki. We describe different devices on which you can install OpenWrt. These devices have a long set of features, like a certain platform Broadcom5325, amount of RAM, Flash, number of ports, etc.
So far we simply insert this information redundantly in 4 different locations:
in the ToH:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start
in the Hardware Highlights:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd#hardware.highlights
the Hardware Info:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd#info
And recently we started using the Tag-plugin, so again, we add the same information into a different location:
the Tag-Footer:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd#i.c.tiny-usb.mod
For almost all Tags we intend to use, see:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/meta/tags
I love the tag footer, but I do not like the idea of having to add the same information 4 times in four different locations. I want to add this once and then link/refer/point to this entry. So far we do not have that many models, but the list is ever-growing.
Do you have any ideas, on how to solve this? We need a lot of variables. At least
20 variables per device. We have so far about
120 supported devices and maybe the same number with devices we are going to support soon or someday. I am not a programmer myself, I use the wiki, so what reliable and future-proof solution would you suggest?
