Interesting - I have Stick working in Dropbox
in Wndows using:
http://localhost:8800
In Linux, with the following virtualhost:
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
DocumentRoot /home/dpenny/Dropbox/DokuWikiStick
<Directory />
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
</Directory>
<Directory /home/dpenny/Dropbox/DokuWikiStick/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
allow from all
</Directory>
etc,
etc
and using the following url:
http://localhost/dokuwiki
I can access the site but
the edit I made via windows is
not there.
If I change the port to 8800, FFox can't find the site.

Something else I've come to realize is the cache expanding and contracting in Dropbox which is not good for bandwidth.
Thanks for the pointer - I did this, keeping the syntax as per the example.
How do I get both platforms to show the same edit?
EDIT: Upon logging in via Linux, the site reports the following:
Writing /home/dpenny/Dropbox/DokuWikiStick/dokuwiki/data/cache/f/f135b3c1014ed07a3882ea0fab00f684.i failed
Unable to save cache file. Hint: disk full; file permissions; safe_mode setting.
Writing /home/dpenny/Dropbox/DokuWikiStick/dokuwiki/data/cache/f/f135b3c1014ed07a3882ea0fab00f684.xhtml failed
This suggests the new cache location vi "local.protected.php" is not cross-platform?
Cheers,
