Hello, I'm struggling to understand the concept of namespaces. I've read and re-read the manual but I can't take it in. Or rather I can't take it in in a way that I can hand the wiki over to not tech users. I contemplate the wiki will have a number of areas that could be namespaces with pages within each namespace. Until I can grasp the concept I think I will struggle also with ACL. Can anyone point me to a place with simple instructions or a video on namespaces. Alternatively is there a plugin to great namespaces and to assign new pages to one or another namespace..
Thanks in advance

Steve, I hope this helps.
Picture the entire wiki like a large book. The namespaces are the chapter titles and then individual pages are the pages residing inside of a chapter.
Setting a wiki up properly and clearly is essential. To this end I would suggest the following, and this may be a poor way of doing it but it worked for me.
1. Click 'edit page' on any page at all
2. Click on the playground go here.
3. Now make a wiki link such as "[[mobile:map|Mobile Map]]", in my wiki I have a 'chapter/namespace' called mobile because this where I store all my mobile specific pages. One of those pages is entitled 'map'. This wiki link can be whatever you want it to be. Just keep in mind that the order is namespace:page, or if you make it more indepth, namespace:namespace:page. This should be a link to a page you want to create.
4. Save your changes to the playground
5. Now you should see a 'red' link on the playground page, this is because the page does not exist. Click the link. It will take you to a placeholder page for an uncreated page. Now click the button/link marked 'create this page' and you can now create the wiki page. The namespace will automatically be created.
Remember it is just like the file structure on your computer.
