Subject: [[SOLVED]] FCKG Lite Plugin problem in uploading file/existing wikipage
Hi I recently downloaded and installed this plugin but I have noticed that it doesnt allow me to upload existing wikipage or files. What happens is this:

1.) I create a text
2.) create a link for that text
3.) a dialog box appears (contains: link type, Protocol and URL)
4.) when i select Browse Server/Upload, it shows the resources browser...yet I cannot click the drop down button to locate/search existing files/links..it displays message saying :Error creating folder "/var/www/dokuwiki/data/pages/" (mkdir(): Permission denied)

Please help

thanks

Jessie

What OS are you using?  It should install automatically.  Also note that there is a debug setting, which will be helpful.

Hi turnermm,

for the debugging part, i made the config set to true

$DWFCK_con_dbg = true

then i got this output on file:

/var/www/dokuwiki/data/pages/
/dokuwiki/data/pages/
Array
(
    [Command] => GetFoldersAndFiles
    [Type] => Media
    [CurrentFolder] => /
    [DWFCK_Browser] => local
    [uuid] => 1297827754839
)

Thanks

/var/www/dokuwiki/data/pages/
/dokuwiki/data/pages/
This is correct for internal links.  Are these in fact the correct paths to you data/pages directory?

For images it should be:

/var/www/dokuwiki/lib/plugins/fckg/fckeditor/userfiles/
/dokuwiki/lib/plugins/fckg/fckeditor/userfiles/

Can you use the image browser and upload and insert images?

If the paths are correct then perhaps you have a permissions problem.

Thanks for that quick reply...

Here is the structure of installation files and directories of dokuwiki:

1.) I have separated the "data" directory and created it on /opt making it /opt/data
2.) The /var/www/dokuwiki/lib/plugins/fckg/fckeditor/userfiles directory contains the following which i created by issuing:
ln -s /path/to/data/media image command

file -> /opt/data/media
image -> /opt/data/media
media -> /opt/data/media

3.) only these directories are writable to Apache for security reasons:

/conf (under /var/www/dokuwiki)
/data (under /opt)

4.) I modified the config.php file under fckg/fckeditor/editor/filemanager/connectors/php as stated in the URL you sent me.

$useWinStyle = true;

5.) I created a .htaccess file under /opt/data/media directory

Those are the configs i made..

Thanks

Jessie

The problem for fckgLite is the security setup, that directories are not where fckgLite expects them to be.  So it can't auto-detect.

Here is what you should do:
1. Do NOT set $winstyle to true. (If $winstyle is set to true, then the /userfiles directory is by-passed, but you need the userfiles directory to be active for your media setup).
2. Go to the fckg/fckeditor/userfiles directory and assign all of the links to your Dokuwiki media directory (you've already done this).
3. In config.php, make the following changes (beginning at line 138):

    setupBasePathsWin();
    if($dwfck_local) {
     //$Config['UserFilesPath'] = str_replace('/media', '/pages', $Config['UserFilesPath']);
     $Config['UserFilesPath'] = $Dwfck_conf_values['savedir']. 'pages/';
     if($isWindows) {
         $Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = str_replace('\\media', '\\pages', $Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath']);
     }
     else {
    //    $Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = str_replace('/media', '/pages', $Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath']);
        $Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = $Dwfck_conf_values['savedir']. 'pages/';
     }
    }

What you are doing here is commenting out the default $Config path values and setting them to your new savedir.

Hi!

rather than 'pages/' , I changed it to '/'

if i use 'pages/' it still displays an error "cannot create directory, permission denied.

when I changed it to 'pages/' , i was able to browse the whole data directory...

Thanks
