Hi,
I have just installed DokuWiki and found that if I create a page then do a search on text on the page, it will find it.
But if I then amend the page and do another search it wont find the new text but it will still find old text that i have deleted.
Am i doing something wrong ?
Maybe its not installed correctly ?
Thanks
Paul

After further investigation it appears to be a problem with the .index file in the meta directory.
When I create a new page a .index file is created.
If I amend the page the .index file does not get updated (whatever i set the indexing time frame to in the configuration).
Should it get updated ?
If I delete the .index file and then visit the page again, a new .index file is created, and if i then do a search it finds the new amendments.
Any ideas anybody ?
Thanks

How long did you wait for the .index refresh after editing a page? The indexer doesn't update alle meta files in realtime.
Create some other pages, then check if the searchengine finds the new content of the first page.

24 hours.
It doesnt matter how long i wait.
If i create a new page then I can search for that instantly.
It just seems to search on the 1st revision of a page.
What is it that runs to update the index ?

I decided to just reinstall dokuwiki and it all works perfectly now.
( this time i used the latest release instead of the development version so perhaps its a bug in the development version )
