kuehnik I'm trying to set up dokuwiki for personal use on Ubuntu. I first installed using the package manager but then decided to download the latest version to /var/www. Running apache2 with almost no modification (though listening on localhost only). I've now purged all installations in /var/lib, /var/www and using the package manager. Still, I experience the strange problem that a new empty directory called 'dokuwiki' leads to a 404 error in the browser, while any new empty directory of any other name gives me the directory listing. Ownerships and file permissions are identical. Also cleared the browser cache and restarted apache. Can anyone give me a hint on where to look? TIA, nik
