trustno1 Hi, I have installed Dokuwiki and all is looking quite good. Before I dig in in a major way I wondered if anyone had a suggestion for what template would be most appropriate for my use. I will be using the wiki to store information on all of my clients such as VPN IP addresses user names passwords keys and general network/server information. I had a look through the templates section but wasn't sure what would be most appropriate. Any suggestions from someone who is using the wiki for similar purposes or anyone with a suggestion would be most appreciated Kind regards
lupo49 I couldn't imagine how a template would help you storing information in a better way? Is there anything annoying in the default template? If you need a clear structure this plugin could help you: https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:data
trustno1 Thank you this does look quite useful. I am going to try this out will be useful for tables. The only reason why I was asking about templates is that I noticed that a number of people are using DokuWiki for a similar function to me, storing customer technical support information. I thought that people might be using a template that structures things in a nice way for this function. There is not much wrong with the default template but I thought if there was a layout that had predefined sections for the type of information that I am entering it might be useful. I can of course just do myself but I thought if there were some things to look at or add-ons specific to this type of usage it would be nice to be aware of them. Just don't want to reinvent the wheel if there are things around that will help/assist.
