I noticed that if someone choose to open a word document uploaded to the site instead of downloading it, he can change and save the changes to that file.
Is there any way to prevent users from changing the contents of such a file?
Thanks in advance.

Uploaded files can only be overwritten if you have the delete ACL permission. You might want to remove that permission from your users and only give it to certain moderators.

I'm sorry, I feel that I dint put correctly my question. I'll try again.
The question is: I uploaded a word document and putted a link to it on a page. What happened is that a guest (or not logged user) followed the link and opened the document. He made some changes to the document and saved. The next time I followed the link the changes made by the guest were on the document.
