Hi all in Dokuwiki-land :)
I've a couple of questions on the useful-looking siteexport plugin:
1. Is there any more documentation on it other than on the plugin page (
http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:siteexport)?
2. My first export has failed, I suspect because of permissions. All the errors refer to the logfile. Where is this, does anyone know?
Some background to this query for those who are interested. I'm trying to set up a system to generate case studies for a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) course in healthcare. Each study comprises 5 HTML docs, plus some images, a CSS file, and a JS library, along the lines of:
file1
file2
file3
file4
file5
/images
/css
/js
This file structure is self-contained with relative references, and should be importable into systems such as Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) and document repositories. Ideally, I'd like to export the structure as an IMS and/or SCORM package, but that's a grace note (if those acronyms mean nothing, just ignore this - you really don't want to know about them if you don't already).
I can create a namespace for each study, then I need to export it, and siteexport looks ideal for this as the description says:
Export your site or a namespace to standalone HTML pages - including images and media.
The lack of documentation is a bit of a handicap, though :(
I'd like to add some flattery for DW developers. When I first came across DW I thought that it was a limited system simply for tech docs, but the more I look at the plugins available and the inherent features, the more I realise how amazingly flexible it is. I've really been quite impressed :)
Cheers
Fred
