When users get their notifications they look like this (I've blocked out my IP address and site name):
Hello!Pages in the namespace * of the XXXXXXX Wiki Site wiki changed. Here are the changed pages:--------------------------------------------------------* http://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/doku.php/news%3Bstart* http://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/doku.php/projects%3Bterrestrial_ecosystem_modeling* http://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/doku.php/meetings%3Bstart* http://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/doku.php/talk%3Bpublic_data%3Bsettlement_vegetation--------------------------------------------------------To cancel the page notifications, log into the wiki athttp://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/ then visithttp://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/doku.php/%3Bstart?do=subscribeand unsubscribe page and/or namespace changes.--This mail was generated by DokuWiki athttp://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX/dokuwiki/
I thought it might be because the files (in inc/lang/en/. . .) were encoded using linux but the emails were going out on a Windows server, but after editing them all using notepad and saving them with the windows line returns nothing seems to have changed.
Users can use RSS feeders, and I see that that is recommended, but we don't want to burden our users with more things to check and would prefer that some users get (well formed) email notifications when pages have been changed.
Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried searching through the forums but can't seem to find anything, so maybe this is an obscure problem?
