Subject: Using page names in plugins
Hello everyone :)

I have a syntax plugin in which I need to refer to the pagename e.g.  playground:testpage

I am currently using the function getID();  to return the page name, which works if the resultant page is previewed or if the cache is disabled, but as soon as caching of pages is enabled it disappears from the cached page (presumably because the script that creates the cached page doesnt have access to getID or it is blank).

Any ideas how to retrieve the page name for use in a plugin?

Please don't call getID your self. Instead just use the global variables $ID and $INFO for your needs.

Hi Andi,

Thanks for your reply, $ID is just what I'm after.  It didn't seem to be working before, but it's because I was stupid and didn't make any other changes to the page (to clear the cache).

Many thanks!
