I installed DokuWiki on WindowsXP with IIS 5 and PHP 5.2 using ISAPI. I initially had a couple of problems related to permissions that I worked out.
Now the problem has to do with the performance of the indexer. Whenever I access any page on my wiki it takes about 30 seconds for the indexer to complete. The page does show while the indexer is running.
After poking around the forums I saw others had an issue and downloaded a link to a patched indexer but that did not change the performance of the indexer. I then tried to debug the indexer using the same URL one of my page uses:
http://localhost/wdwiki/lib/exe/indexer.php?id=start&1175313244&debug=1
Using firebug I inspected the output. The first 2 lines output are:
runIndexer(): started
trigger TEMPORARY_INDEX_UPGRADE_EVENT
and then followed by 24,376 copies of the following line:
runIndexer(): stale lock removed
That's right, the line was output 24,376 times. I saved the file output to a log file and it was 809k. What would be causing this behavior? Are my permissions still not setup correctly?
I also noticed that making configuration changes using the config page does not save my changes to local.php. As suggested in the forums I created an empty local.php.bak file and granted wirte permissions to IUSR but it still doesn't update.
