juncarejo My users already have an Dokuwiki-account (smd5) on a server and I want to use it to authenticate other HTTP-tool. Would that be possible? How can use Dokuwiki authentication for Apache2? OS= Debian
lupo49 On this page there are (all) existing backends for authentication listed: https://www.dokuwiki.org/auth On the page you'll also find a backend called htaccessauth, if it is the backend you're looking for.
juncarejo With "htaccessauth" the authentication is done by Apache using the .htaccess file and you used this to authentification by Dokuwiki. right? But my users already have an Dokuwiki-account (smd5) on "Dokuwiki/conf/users.auth.php" and I want to use this file to authenticate the users by Apache. Would that be possible? thanks!
lupo49 No, I guess not. The hash algorithm is another (See https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/misc/password_encryptions.html) and the user.auth.php has additional information.
